Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part 1 is entering what could become the biggest phase of its promotional campaign yet. With the Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash-led epic preparing to arrive in theatres during the Diwali period.
The makers are reportedly planning a special musical evening in London featuring two of the film’s biggest creative forces, Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman.
According to the KBP REVIEW information, Zimmer and Rahman are expected to host the special event on October 20, with London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall likely to serve as the venue. The event could showcase the musical world that the duo has created for Ramayana and further establish the film as a global cinematic event.
After unveiling the teaser and first trailer, the makers are now expected to reveal more of the film’s music, characters and world as they approach the theatrical release.
Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman’s London Event to Showcase Ramayana’s Musical World
The collaboration between Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman remains the most distinctive elements of Ramayana: Part 1. Zimmer, who has created scores for several major Hollywood productions, and Rahman, one of India’s most celebrated composers, have joined forces for the ambitious epic.
The duo’s collaboration already featured prominently in the film’s first major promotional material. The official Ramayana introduction and trailer credited both composers, while the makers have positioned the music as an important part of the film’s international identity.
The Royal Albert Hall ranks among London’s most iconic performance venues, making it an appropriate setting for an event centred on the music of an Indian epic with global ambitions. The makers have yet to officially announce the exact venue and event format, but the current plan reportedly involves Zimmer and Rahman taking audiences into the sonic world of Ramayana.
The lead actors, director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra are also expected to attend the event.
Second Ramayana Trailer Expected Around October 23
The makers expect to release the second trailer of Ramayana: Part 1 around October 23, just days after the reported musical evening. If the schedule remains unchanged, the trailer would give the team a major promotional opportunity barely two weeks before the film reaches theatres.
The first trailer gave audiences a much closer look at Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Raavan. It also showcased the film’s massive production design, visual effects and battle sequences.
The second trailer could therefore reveal more of the narrative while introducing characters and sequences that the makers deliberately kept away from the first trailer.
Ramayana Release Date Remains a Major Talking Point
The film currently appears on some listings with a November 5, 2026 release date, placing it directly within the Diwali window.
However, international release information has shown some variation, with several global listings and reports pointing towards November 6, while Australian theatrical listings currently carry November 5 as the release date.
Sony Pictures will release the film internationally, while the makers are planning its Indian release around the Diwali period.
The November release will mark the arrival of the first part of Nitesh Tiwari’s planned two-part adaptation. The makers expect Ramayana: Part 2 to follow in 2027.
