Eetha Makes Way for Toxic: Yash Starrer Set for a Solo Box Office Run After Release Date Shuffle;

The box office landscape for August 2026 appears to have changed significantly, with Yash’s Toxic now looking at a much clearer path towards release.

According to KBP REVIEW reports, Maddock Films is no longer planning to release Eetha on its originally announced date of August 28, effectively removing one of the biggest potential clashes for Geetu Mohandas’ ambitious gangster drama.

As reported by Bollywood Hungama, the makers of Eetha are currently evaluating whether to prepone or postpone the film. While the final release date is yet to be announced officially, one thing is almost certain, the film will not arrive on its previously scheduled August 28 release slot.

That development has naturally shifted attention towards Toxic, which is now enjoying what trade circles call a “clean runway” at the box office, The release calendar had already changed once after VVAN moved away from the same Date. Now, with Eetha also stepping aside, Toxic finds itself without any major Bollywood competitor during its release period, For a film mounted on such a massive scale, this could prove to be a major advantage.

Yash’s return after the KGF franchise has naturally added another layer of anticipation. The actor enjoys one of the strongest pan-India fan bases today, while international distributors are also reportedly showing significant interest in the project.
