According to KBP REVIEW, At the same time, Marvel has given fans another massive reason to visit theatres. However, the board awarded the certification only after directing several edits to the theatrical version that Indian theatres will screen. The most talked-about modification involves an approximately eight-second romantic kissing sequence between Tom Holland and Zendaya, which the CBFC has reportedly removed from the Indian theatrical version.
Apart from deleting the kiss, the CBFC also instructed the distributors to mute or remove certain English expletives from both the audio track and subtitles. Like several Hollywood releases in recent years, the film will also display a static anti-liquor health warning during scenes involving alcohol consumption, in accordance with Indian theatrical certification guidelines.

PETER PARKER BEGINS HIS DARKEST CHAPTER

Beyond the certification controversy, excitement for the movie itself remains enormous. Spider-Man: Brand New Day picks up after the heartbreaking conclusion of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Peter Parker chose to erase himself from the memories of everyone he loved in order to save the multiverse.
Tom Holland described the story as the darkest phase of Peter Parker’s journey so far. According to Holland, audiences meet Peter at the lowest point of his life. The actor explained that the film explores the emotional consequences of loneliness and shows why community, friendship, and human connection remain central to Spider-Man’s identity.
He added that, despite his struggles, Spider-Man continues protecting New York City. The contrast between saving the world and returning to an ordinary apartment with nobody waiting for him creates the emotional foundation of the film.
Marvel will attach the official trailer of Avengers: Doomsday to every theatrical screening of Spider-Man: Brand New Day across available language versions.
This means audiences watching the film in English, Hindi, Tamil, or Telugu will also witness the first big-screen presentation of Marvel’s next mega-event. Marvel has increasingly used major theatrical releases to debut exclusive footage for upcoming projects, and attaching Avengers: Doomsday to Spider-Man ensures maximum visibility among superhero audiences.

Supporters of the certification process argue that the board ensures films remain suitable for the age category they receive. Critics, however, believe that minor romantic moments or limited mature content often receive unnecessary attention despite modern audiences already being exposed to similar material across global streaming platforms.
Tom Holland’s Spider-Man remains one of the MCU’s most popular characters, while Zendaya’s return as MJ continues to generate excitement among fans invested in their relationship.
