Salman Khan and Arvind Swamy to share three day shoot, Vamshi Paidipally mounts a major action schedule ahead of Eid 2027

Salman Khan’s Monster is moving deeper into its most action heavy phase yet. Director Vamshi Paidipally is currently filming a crucial Mumbai schedule for the action entertainer and Arvind Swamy has joined the team for a 10 day stint.

According to the KBP REVIEW, Swamy will spend three days shooting directly with Salman Khan before completing additional portions separately. The actor plays a negative character whose track reportedly brings him into a tense confrontation with Salman’s character, setting the stage for a high intensity face off.

The Mumbai schedule has gained further importance with the team filming a large scale train action sequence. The makers created a dedicated set at Aarey Colony in Goregaon for the sequence, which features Salman taking on multiple antagonists.

Arvind Swamy Adds A New Antagonist To Monster

Arvind Swamy brings a different kind of intensity to Monster. The actor, known for performances in films such as Roja and Thani Oruvan has previously played characters that rely heavily on restraint and controlled menace.

His pairing with Salman gives the film another interesting layer. The three day joint schedule will cover key confrontation scenes between their characters while Swamy will continue filming his individual portions during the rest of his Mumbai stint.

The train sequence stands out as the biggest action blocks from the current schedule.

Monster Mounts A Major Train Action Sequence

The train fight could become one of Monster’s most prominent action moments. The production house created a dedicated Mumbai set to accommodate the sequence and its extensive movement requirements.

The team must coordinate multiple performers action choreography and camera movement across the set, giving the sequence a significantly larger production footprint than a conventional fight scene.

Salman’s longtime body double Parvez Kazi has also returned to the production after undergoing a cardiac procedure in August. His return comes as the team works on the complicated train sequence, where his familiarity with Salman’s movement and action style can help the production execute demanding portions efficiently.

The current schedule follows reports from August that the film had entered one of its biggest action phases in Mumbai. Around the same time, the makers dismissed speculation regarding Salman’s remuneration, calling those reports “purely speculative and factually incorrect.”

From SVC63 To Monster

The project initially carried the working title SVC63 before the makers officially revealed Monster in August. The film marks Salman Khan’s first collaboration with director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju.

Paidipally has previously directed large scale commercial films including Yevadu, Oopiri, Maharshi and Varisu, while Dil Raju is producing the project under Sri Venkateswara Creations.

The film also pairs Salman with Nayanthara, creating a fresh combination for audiences across the Hindi and South Indian markets.

The makers are developing Monster as a pan India action entertainer and appear to be building the film around a large theatrical canvas.

The Ensemble Around Salman Keeps Growing

The production has continued to expand its supporting cast. Ronit Roy and Seema Biswas joined the project in August, while reports have also linked Jackie Shroff, Sagarika Ghatge and Muzammil Ibrahim with the film.

The growing ensemble suggests that Paidipally intends to create a wider world around Salman’s character instead of limiting the narrative to a straightforward hero versus villain conflict.

Arvind Swamy’s character could add another important dimension to that world. His reported cat and mouse dynamic with Salman gives the film an antagonist who can potentially challenge the protagonist through both action and performance.

Salman Khan Enters Another Action Heavy Schedule

Monster continues Salman’s run of large scale action projects. The actor has been taking on a greater share of his stunt work during the current schedule following the health issue that affected his body double. The production has placed considerable emphasis on its action department from the beginning.

The team created large-scale sets in Mumbai, including a dense urban area recreation at the SRPF Ground in Goregaon. The makers have also planned extensive shooting across Mumbai and other Indian locations.
