The actor finally addressed years of speculation, confirming that only two films are currently on his slate, while fresh updates have also emerged on Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit.
For the last few years, reports have repeatedly linked Ranbir Kapoor’s name with Dhoom 4, with every new update exciting fans of the blockbuster YRF franchise. Social media often treated the casting as almost confirmed, despite Yash Raj Films never making an official announcement
Now, the actor has finally broken his silence.During the promotions of Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor dismissed the ongoing speculation and clarified that he is currently working only on Ramayana and Love & War.

Speaking in an interview with Review Nation, the conversation shifted to the upcoming projects of Ranbir Kapoor and Yash. When the interviewer mentioned multiple future films, Ranbir immediately corrected the statement.
“No, right now I am working on Ramayana and another film called Love & War, which is directed by Mr. Sanjay Bhansali. That should be out on January 24 next year.”
Since the release of Dhoom 3 in 2013, rumours about the fourth installment have resurfaced almost every year. Several actors has been linked to the project, but Yash Raj Films has never officially announced it officially.
Speculation around Ranbir Kapoor intensified in 2024 after several entertainment portals reported that producer Aditya Chopra was considering him as the ideal face to reboot the franchise for a new generation.
Those reports were quickly went viral, leading many fans to believe the casting was practically confirmed. The speculation gained further momentum when celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim shared photos of Ranbir sporting a completely new hairstyle, prompting fans to speculate that it was his look for Dhoom 4.

However, despite all the reports, Yash Raj Films never confirmed the project. Ranbir’s latest statement now makes it clear that Dhoom 4 is not part of his current schedule.
Love & War Reunites Ranbir Kapoor With Sanjay Leela Bhansali Apart from Ramayana, the only other film confirmed by Ranbir is Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film reunites Ranbir with Bhansali nearly two decades after Saawariya and also brings together Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.

Love & War is scheduled to release in January next year and is already considered by fans one of Bollywood’s biggest romantic dramas. Given the scale of both Ramayana and Love & War, it is understandable why Ranbir is avoiding discussions about additional projects.
Although Ranbir has denied being attached to Dhoom 4 at present, that does not necessarily mean the project has been shelved. Yash Raj Films continues expanding its Spy Universe while simultaneously developing several major productions.
