The English language trailer marks an important step in the film’s global strategy. Instead of simply presenting a traditional dubbed version the trailer features characters speaking English dialogue, giving international audiences a more direct entry point into the story.
Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman Create the Music for Ramayana
One of the project’s most notable elements remains its musical collaboration. Oscar winning composer Hans Zimmer has joined forces with A.R. Rahman to create the film’s score.
The makers announced the partnership during the film’s first reveal marking Zimmer’s involvement in an Indian production of this scale. Zimmer’s cinematic soundscapes and Rahman’s Indian musical sensibilities could give Ramayana a distinctive sonic identity.
Zimmer’s official website lists Ramayana Part I as a 2026 project directed by Nitesh Tiwari and credits both Zimmer and A.R. Rahman for the music.

Hollywood Action and VFX Talent Build the Spectacle
The film’s international crew extends well beyond its composers – Terry Notary and Guy Norris are handling the action choreography. Notary has built a reputation for his performance and movement work on major Hollywood productions, while Norris has worked on several action heavy projects, including the Mad Max franchise.
The Week noted that their involvement could help the film achieve greater physicality and scale across its battles and creature driven sequences. DNEG, one of the world’s leading visual effects companies is handling the film’s VFX.
The company has worked on major Hollywood productions such as Dune, Interstellar and Inception, among numerous other projects.
DNEG has described Ramayana as a two-part cinematic universe rooted in Indian History and confirmed that the production is filming the project for IMAX.
Ravi Bansal and Ramsey Avery are handling production design, with the team tasked with creating an ancient Indian world on a scale rarely attempted in Indian cinema.
Ramayana’s Scale Is Already Drawing Attention
The project has remained in development for years and its international crew has become one of its biggest talking points since the first reveal. DNEG and Prime Focus Studios have positioned the film as a global cinematic interpretation of Indian History.
Prime Focus has also highlighted the involvement of DNEG, ReDefine and Brahma AI in developing the film’s visual world and production workflows. The trailer has now shifted the conversation from the project’s behind the scenes ambitions to what audiences can actually expect on screen.
With the November 6 worldwide release date now locked, the countdown to Ramayana: Part One has officially begun. The film will reach international markets on November 6, with previews on 5 November 2026.
The makers have planned Ramayana: Part Two for Diwali 2027, although they have not announced its exact release date yet.
