Nitesh Tiwari’s Ranbir Kapoor, Yash starrer aims to turn India’s biggest epic into a truly immersive theatrical experience;

Ramayana is expected to have access to roughly 1,300 4DX and ScreenX auditoriums worldwide, potentially making it the widest premium-format releases ever mounted for an Indian film.
More importantly, the film is set to become the first Indian movie to receive a worldwide ScreenX release, adding another major milestone to an already extraordinary theatrical campaign.
The Nitesh Tiwari directorial has already been designed with premium large-format cinema in mind, and the addition of ScreenX and 4DX takes that ambition several steps further.
For a story involving massive battles, forests, palaces, oceans, flying sequences and the eventual war of Lanka, formats such as 4DX and ScreenX can potentially add another layer to the theatrical experience.
ScreenX expands the visual canvas beyond the central screen onto the side walls of the auditorium, creating a much wider field of view. 4DX, meanwhile, incorporates moving seats and environmental effects designed to make viewers physically feel elements of the action.
Indian films have increasingly embraced premium formats such as IMAX, 4DX and other large-screen experiences, but a worldwide ScreenX rollout on this scale would give Ramayana another distinction.
The reported 1,300 odd premium auditoriums across 4DX and ScreenX could make the film, the most extensively mounted Indian productions in premium formats.
Ramayana: Part 1 is targeting the Diwali 2026 period, with the film also planned for international theatrical markets. As we reported that the first instalment is scheduled for November 8 in India and the US, with the second part arriving in 2027.
Yash has previously confirmed that he and Ranbir do not share significant screen space in Part 1, as the first film focuses on the separate journeys of Rama and Ravana.
Ranbir later revealed that the major Rama-Ravana confrontation comes much later in the story, with their pivotal scenes being reserved for the subsequent chapter.
However, the makers have not ignored that criticism.During their recent international promotional appearances, Ranbir Kapoor, Nitesh Tiwari and Namit Malhotra addressed the VFX debate, explaining the extensive amount of work involved in building the film’s digital environments and characters.
Tiwari and Malhotra have stressed that the visual effects process has been extraordinarily complex, while Ranbir defended the scale of the work involved. Recent reports also indicate that the finishing work on Ramayana: Part 1 has now progressed significantly.
The makers have already taken the project to major global industry platforms, including CinemaCon and San Diego Comic-Con. Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Namit Malhotra have spoken extensively about the film’s ambition to introduce the Indian epic to audiences beyond the traditional Indian diaspora.

Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit was reportedly being discussed as a potential casualty of the massive Salman Khan-SVC63 clash during Eid 2027.
However, the makers have officially put those rumours to rest – ‘Spirit’ is scheduled to release worldwide on March 5, 2027, and the team has confirmed that the film is progressing as planned.
T-Series officially announced the date, ending speculation that the Prabhas starrer could move to a June 2027 Release Window.
The speculation began after Salman Khan’s upcoming film with director Vamshi Paidipally, tentatively titled SVC63, was announced for the Eid 2027 period. Since Spirit was already scheduled around the same window. The makers have reiterated that there is no postponement and that the film remains on track for March 5, 2027.
Spirit also has an interesting international strategy of its own. The film is expected to release across multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, as well as Mandarin, Japanese and Korean, underlining the increasingly global approach being taken with major Indian stars.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, the action drama reunites Vanga with producer Bhushan Kumar following Animal. Triptii Dimri stars opposite Prabhas, while Vivek Oberoi and other prominent actors are part of the ensemble.
