Vamshi Paidipally directorial, co-starring Nayanthara, is gearing up for Eid 2027; latest report reveals a major development on the sets
Salman Khan’s next big-screen outing is getting bigger, and the latest update has added a fresh layer of intrigue to the highly anticipated project.
According to a Filmfare report, the superstar’s upcoming collaboration with producer Dil Raju and director Vamshi Paidipally has received the title Monster, with an official announcement expected soon.
The film, which people have so far referred to as SVC63, marks Salman’s first collaboration with both Dil Raju and Vamshi Paidipally. Nayanthara stars opposite the superstar, making this one of the more interesting star combinations currently lined up in Indian cinema.
The project has already locked the Eid 2027 release window, returning Salman to the festive period that has been closely associated with some of his biggest theatrical successes. The makers officially announced the Eid 2027 plan in April, shortly after the film went on floors in Mumbai.
‘Monster’ Title Reportedly Locked – While the makers have maintained secrecy around the official title, reports suggest that they have now locked Monster as the name of the film. An official title reveal is expected to follow.
The title itself immediately creates curiosity around the kind of character Salman could play. However, the makers have not yet revealed the character description or storyline, so it would be premature to assume that the title directly reflects his role.
The project is shaping up as a large-scale action entertainer with emotional elements, combining Salman’s mass appeal with Vamshi Paidipally’s style of balancing spectacle and family-driven drama.
That combination could be particularly interesting because Vamshi has previously worked with major stars across Telugu cinema, including Mahesh Babu, Vijay and Ram Charan, and has built a reputation for combining larger-than-life entertainment with emotional storytelling. His Maharshi also won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
Salman Takes On More Action Work – The most dramatic development, however, comes from the ongoing shoot. A body double associated with the production recently suffered a heart attack, which disrupted the carefully planned action schedule.
That said, we should treat the health incident with sensitivity, and the makers have not independently confirmed details about the individual in the sources available for this report.
Interestingly, Salman has previously worked extensively with body doubles for demanding action sequences. One of his longtime doubles, Sagar Pandey, who worked with him on more than 50 films, died after suffering a heart attack in 2022.
When the project officially went on floors in Mumbai, reports indicated that the team had constructed an expansive set for crucial sequences and action blocks. The production planned high-intensity action portions on a large canvas, while the makers kept the complete cast and technical team under wraps.
For Nayanthara, the project comes after her successful Hindi debut with Jawan, where she starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
The pairing also helps the film connect Hindi and South Indian audiences naturally. With Vamshi Paidipally directing and Dil Raju backing the project, the makers appear to be deliberately building a film that can travel across languages.
In April, the actor shared behind-the-scenes glimpses from the mahurat and told fans, “Thoda durr ki sochna chahiye, that’s why announced Eid,” while asking them to remain patient about further details.
Eid has historically been one of Salman’s strongest theatrical events. From Wanted and Dabangg to Ek Tha Tiger, Kick, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan and Bharat, the festival period has been closely linked with his biggest releases.
What Can Audiences Expect From ‘Monster’?
For now, the makers are keeping the story firmly under wraps. There is no official plot synopsis, character description or first look yet. What they have confirmed is enough to establish the broad picture: Salman Khan, Nayanthara, Vamshi Paidipally, Dil Raju, a large-scale action entertainer and Eid 2027.
The latest report about Salman taking on more action work only adds to the anticipation, although safety will understandably remain a key priority during the shoot.
The title Monster, if officially confirmed, could also give the marketing campaign plenty of scope for a powerful introduction to Salman’s character, and that is where the film could become particularly interesting.
