Fans who were eagerly waiting to celebrate Holi with a high octane cinematic surprise will have to wait a little longer. The makers of Dhurandhar 2 have officially postponed the trailer launch, which was widely expected to drop around the festival. Despite massive online buzz and rumours of a “trailer of the decade,” the team has decided not to release it on Holi.
According to industry chatter, the delay is not due to any problem but rather a strategic decision. The film reportedly carries extremely intense action sequences and a heavy background score, and the makers want a standalone release window so the trailer gets full attention instead of getting lost amid festival noise and multiple film announcements that typically flood social media during Holi.
Over the past week, hype had reached a peak. Fan pages, movie trackers, and trade insiders were all hinting at a Holi launch. However, insiders now say the team is planning a bigger, more controlled reveal possibly with a dedicated promotional campaign, countdown posters, and official announcements.
The delay has disappointed fans, but it has also increased curiosity. In fact, the anticipation may now work even more in the film’s favour. If early reports about its violent tone, stylised action and thunderous BGM are true, the makers appear confident the trailer will trend massively whenever it releases.
For now, Holi won’t bring the Dhurandhar 2 explosion but when the trailer finally arrives, it looks set to shake the internet rather than just colour it.
The new expected dates are 5th March and 6th March.
