Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam: The Conclusion is entering the final stretch of its promotional campaign and KBP REVIEWS has learnt that the much-awaited trailer is now set to launch in Goa on September 9.
The trailer launch was earlier planned for September 8, but the makers have reportedly shifted the event by a day while retaining Goa as the venue.
The location is particularly significant for the franchise. Goa has been central to Vijay Salgaonkar’s story from the beginning, making it a fitting backdrop for the unveiling of the trailer for what is being presented as the final chapter of his journey.
The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 2, 2026, a date that has become synonymous with the Drishyam story.
With the trailer launch now around the corner, expectations are naturally building around how the makers plan to conclude one of Hindi cinema’s most successful suspense-thriller stories.

The makers officially announced the title Drishyam: The Conclusion earlier this month, confirming that Ajay Devgn will once again step into the shoes of Vijay Salgaonkar.
The announcement also locked October 2 as the theatrical release date.The choice is far from random. October 2 is the date around which Vijay created the crucial in the original story and the franchise has subsequently turned the date into part of its own pop culture identity.
The third film is therefore arriving on what fans have come to call Drishyam Day.

The Gandhi Jayanti holiday also gives the film a strategically important theatrical window. With a national holiday attached to the release and the franchise already carrying strong family audience recognition, the October 2 date gives the final chapter an opportunity to make a strong opening.
Ajay Devgn himself announced the title and release date along with the line, “Mera Sach, Mera Sahi, Sirf Meri Family Hai,” once again placing Vijay’s family at the emotional centre of the story.
Goa makes sense beyond the promotional value. It is inseparable from the Drishyam universe and from Vijay Salgaonkar’s life. The franchise has always used its setting as more than a backdrop, with the location becoming part of the narrative itself.
The trailer is expected to reveal more about the central conflict while maintaining the secrecy that has surrounded the plot.

The first two films were built around an unusual combination of family emotion, crime and methodical suspense. Much of their appeal came from watching an ordinary family become trapped in an extraordinary situation and seeing Vijay carefully construct a story to protect them.

The original Drishyam formula already gave audiences two carefully constructed narratives but an original conclusion allows the Hindi team to decide exactly how Vijay’s story should end without having to reproduce a pre-existing storyline.
A recently unveiled first-look poster shows Devgn looking distressed through a window, with police lights visible behind him. The image gives the impression that the character may once again find himself surrounded by danger.
The first poster had already established Vijay’s mindset through the line about truth and family. Together, the posters suggest that the makers are deliberately reminding audiences of the character’s biggest motivation before revealing the new conflict.
Tabu, Shriya Saran and Rajat Kapoor return The sequel also brings back several important members of the original ensemble. Tabu returns as Meera Deshmukh, while Shriya Saran reprises Nandini Salgaonkar. Rajat Kapoor is also returning as Mahesh Deshmukh. Ishita Dutta is listed as Anju Salgaonkar.
However, the new additions could prove even more interesting. Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj have joined the cast, bringing two highly regarded performers into the Drishyam universe.
Abhishek Pathak, who directed Drishyam 2, is back behind the camera for the conclusion. He also credited as a writer alongside Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh in current listings.
The technical team includes editor Sandeep Francis with Ravi Basrur is associated with the film’s background score. Basrur’s involvement is particularly intriguing because his music is known for creating atmosphere and intensity in large scale cinematic moments.
If the makers are indeed pushing the third instalment towards a more thriller heavy tone, the background score could become an important part of the experience.
