THE CONTROVERSY

The controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh and Don 3 continues to intensify, with fresh details now shedding light on why Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) reportedly issued a non-cooperation directive against the actor.

Ranveer Singh had reportedly signed a three-film agreement with Excel Entertainment, with Don 3 being one of the key projects under the deal.

The script, promotional planning, and production details had already been finalized, and even promotional shoots were underway before the actor allegedly exited the project just weeks before the scheduled shoot.

Ranveer reportedly cited reasons such as creative differences, scheduling concerns, and delays.

However, These explanations were never formally presented before FWICE despite multiple notices issued by the organisation asking him to share his side of the matter.

Farhan Akhtar and Excel Entertainment had already invested nearly ₹45 crore in pre-production, following which the makers allegedly sought compensation for damages.

What has added fuel to the debate is the allegation that this is not the first time industry circles have questioned Ranveer’s professional commitments.

At the moment, neither side has fully closed the chapter publicly but the Don 3 fallout has undoubtedly become one of Bollywood’s biggest BTS controversies of the year.
