Avengers Endgame: Encore Box Office Collection Day 1 (WORLDWIDE)

The Avengers: Endgame re-release makes a strong comeback in India as premium formats, nostalgia and fresh Avengers: Doomsday footage give audiences a new reason to return

Marvel Studios has once again turned nostalgia into a theatrical event.

Avengers: Endgame: Encore opened strongly in India on Day 1, collecting ₹7.25 crore net across approximately 3,635 shows. The re-release recorded an estimated ₹8.68 crore gross in India, giving Marvel a healthy start despite the fact that audiences have already seen Endgame multiple times since its original 2019 release.

Marvel has added fresh material to the theatrical presentation, giving fans an additional reason to experience the Infinity Saga finale on the big screen once again.

New Avengers: Doomsday Footage Gives Endgame A Fresh Purpose

Marvel Studios has positioned Endgame: Encore as more than a routine re-release.

The special version features additional footage, a new introduction and an extra post-credits sequence, along with an exclusive look at Avengers: Doomsday.

The new material connects the emotional conclusion of the previous Avengers era with Marvel’s next major crossover event. That strategy has already started producing results overseas.

In Australia, Avengers: Endgame: Encore opened at No. 1 at the box office. At the same time, Avengers: Doomsday generated more than US$1 million in Australian ticket presales within its first 24 hours.

KBP Reports have described that figure as the biggest opening-day presale result for any film in Australia this year and the strongest in five years.

The numbers suggest that Marvel has successfully turned an old theatrical favourite into a promotional launchpad for its next Avengers chapter.

Endgame Returns To Major International Markets

Marvel has rolled out the Encore edition across several key international territories.

In the United States, the film returned to cinemas on September 25, including IMAX and other premium formats.

The United Kingdom also began screenings on September 25, with audiences getting access to premium presentations, including Infinity Vision.

In the UAE, the film opened on September 24 and continues to play across VOX Cinemas, including premium and Infinity Vision screens in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Can Endgame Challenge Avatar Again?

Avengers: Endgame originally became the highest-grossing film worldwide, before Avatar reclaimed the record following its own theatrical re-release.

That history has naturally sparked speculation about whether Encore could once again put Endgame in the race for the all-time worldwide crown.

The challenge remains enormous. The film would need to generate a massive additional worldwide gross to overtake Avatar. However, Marvel has designed Encore as a genuine theatrical event.

Earlier advance-booking trends pointed towards healthy interest in markets including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana, alongside strong demand from Maharashtra and Delhi.

For fans who experienced Endgame during its original 2019 theatrical run, Encore offers another opportunity to revisit the film on the biggest possible screen while also receiving new material connected to Doomsday.

Avengers: Doomsday Hype Gives Encore Extra Momentum

Marvel is using Endgame: Encore to reconnect audiences with the emotional weight of the Avengers saga before Avengers: Doomsday arrives later this year.

Doomsday is expected to assemble a huge ensemble featuring returning MCU characters and stars from different corners of Marvel’s cinematic universe.

The new material attached to Encore therefore serves a larger purpose: it creates a direct promotional bridge between one Avengers era and the next.
