Maddock Horror Universe’s next chapter dives deep into Bengali folklore and mythology
After gaining major attention with Saiyaara, actress Aneet Padda is now stepping into her most ambitious role yet with Shakti Shalini and the latest details around the film have instantly grabbed audience attention.
Aneet will be seen in a powerful double role in the upcoming Maddock Horror Comedy Universe film. She reportedly plays Shakti, an ordinary young woman who gradually transforms into a protector figure, and Shalini, a terrifying vengeful spirit who returns after being brutally betrayed and murdered.
What makes the film even more intriguing is its strong inspiration from Bengali folklore and mythology. The story reportedly revolves around the battle between good and evil, with the spirit haunting trees and water bodies while targeting men connected to her tragic past.
The narrative also draws symbolic power from Goddess Kali, adding a darker mythological layer to the horror drama.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film is being positioned as one of the most intense entries in the Maddock horror universe after Stree and Bhediya.
Actor Vishal Jethwa reportedly plays the male lead, while Viineet Kumar Singh is expected to portray a dark and intense character.
With mythology, horror, revenge, and a performance heavy double role at its core, Shakti Shalini is already one of the most exciting female led genre films currently in production after ALPHA.
