Between 7th May and 13th May, the team behind #Ramayana organized an exclusive creator meet that brought together digital creators from YouTube, Instagram, X, and multiple other platforms for a once in a lifetime behind the scenes experience. What initially looked like a simple studio visit soon turned into one of the most talked-about cinematic experiences among creators, with many calling it “unreal,” “goosebumps worthy,” and unlike anything Indian cinema has attempted before.

The creators were first invited to a luxury hotel before being transported via special buses to the iconic Prime Focus Studios at Film City. As they entered the massive production space, they were introduced to the ambitious worldbuilding of #Ramayana. The creators toured several gigantic sets, including the grand Lanka set, and were left stunned by the detailing, scale, and authenticity of the environments being created for the film.

According to several attendees, the sets didn’t feel like traditional film sets they felt like stepping directly into the world of Ramayana itself. The makers have reportedly focused heavily on immersive production design and realism, ensuring every frame feels visually rich and emotionally grand. The creators especially appreciated how the film’s vision remains rooted in Indian culture and storytelling sensibilities.

One of the biggest highlights of the visit was the interaction with Yash, who is portraying Ravana in the film. For many creators, it was their first-ever interaction with the superstar, and they were left impressed by his screen presence, calm personality, and dedication towards the role. However, one major point repeatedly emphasized during the discussions was that the film will not glorify Ravana. The makers are reportedly approaching the story with sincerity and balance while staying respectful to the core emotions and values of Ramayan.

The creators also revealed that the team is working on “Indianised Rakshas” instead of generic fantasy-inspired creatures often seen in global fantasy cinema. The intention is to create a unique visual identity rooted in Indian mythology rather than copying Western aesthetics. This approach reportedly extends to every aspect of the film from costume design to architecture, atmosphere, and VFX.

Another unforgettable moment came when the creators witnessed an action sequence being filmed featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Prabhu Shri Ram. The sequence was being shot under the supervision of an action director associated with Dune, and what shocked the creators the most was the level of effort going into even the smallest moments.

According to creator Suraj Kumar, the team spent hours filming a sequence that would last barely 3–4 seconds on screen. Multiple takes, different camera angles, and physically demanding action choreography made the process extremely exhausting. Ranbir Kapoor reportedly continued shooting despite experiencing pain in his hands during the sequence. His commitment, discipline, and focus deeply impressed everyone present on the set.

Several creators stated that if this level of dedication is being put into mere seconds of footage, audiences can only imagine the scale and effort behind the complete film. Many attendees even claimed that every shot they witnessed from #Ramayana felt “goosebumps worthy.”

The creators also shared exciting details regarding the film’s technical presentation. Unlike traditional 3D films that focus mainly on objects popping out of the screen, #Ramayana’s 3D experience is reportedly designed around depth and immersion. The goal is not gimmicky visuals, but to make audiences feel like they are living inside the world of Ramayan. The VFX assets shown during the visit were described as entirely different from anything previously seen in Indian cinema, featuring intricate detailing, immersive depth, and high-bitrate visual quality.

The film is also reportedly being shot in a 1.90 aspect ratio to enhance the theatrical scale and cinematic immersion. Combined with advanced 3D presentation and massive world-building, the makers appear focused on delivering a truly large-format experience designed specifically for theatres.

What stood out most to the creators, however, was the intent behind the project. Multiple attendees mentioned that the makers felt deeply committed towards doing justice to Ramayan rather than simply creating another commercial spectacle. According to the creators, the team’s vision feels honest, respectful, and emotionally driven.

One creator summarized the experience by saying that #Ramayana is being made “for the Indian audience, by the people of India, for a better world.”

After witnessing the sets, performances, visuals, and dedication firsthand, many creators left the event believing that #Ramayana could become a landmark moment for Indian cinema. Some even stated that people may remember this film for the next 100 years — not just for its scale, but for the passion, sincerity, and cultural emotion driving the project.
